I sent money to a friends old email and it went through saying completed. He can no longer use that email. How do I get the money back or is it gone forever?

Emails are sometimes recycled so it could have completed to someone else?

If your friend however still 'owns' that address they could add it to their paypal account and the funds would show as you can have up to 8 email addresses on the x1 paypal account.

As to whether you can get the funds back again that would depend on which option you used to send the money and the paypal funding source that you used.
