Pending Transaction

I send my friend some money however transaction is pending on his side (receiver) I have been charged . Why pending ??

The recipient’s payment may be subject to a 21 day PayPal hold, there are tasks recipient can do to get it released sooner. Like adding tracking number or updating order status.

PayPal may be reviewing the payment.

An eCheck may have been sent and payment has to clear first.
