Pending Received Payment

My tenant sent me rent via PayPal because she doesn’t have personal checks and she just moved and her bank isn’t anyone near her. The payment says it’s pending. I’ve never seen that before. Is it because it’s a large amount? What are the chances I’ll get that money soon?

Depends which option she used to send it.

1. If they sent using money > goods / services option then paypal would see you as a seller and apply the new seller hold. They would also charge you a fee.

2. If they had sent using the send money > family / friends option then you would have had the payment instantly with no fee. (However that option is not available in every country).

There are however some occasions where friends / family payments are held for reviews but these are normally only 24 hours.

Ask them to click confirm receipt in the transaction so that it will available
