PayPal won't allow me to transfer money from bank account to PayPal?

When I try to transfer money FROM my bank account to my PAYPAL account I keep getting a message [for 24 hrs.]

 

"We're sorry. We're not able to process your request right now. Please try again later."

 

Arrrrgghhh...

Paypal is 'country specific' so advice often depends on what country you are in. As you have not added your country to your community profile or said in your post then we can't help at the moment.

I'm in the U.S. I still don't have an answer as to why, but I finally got through to a live person yesterday and she said it must have been my bank, NOT. Then suggested I didn't have enough in the bank account? Definitely NOT. But eventually she put me on hold several times, did something and the transfer was completed. 😕
