PayPal not Austhorised

Hey, I’ve tried to purchase something from a clothing website. When I used PayPal to pay it went through seemingly but then the website said the transaction wasn’t complete because it wasn’t authorised or something. The money is gone from my account. I don’t understand what I did wrong? Nothing ever asked me for authorisation, just went through and then back to the site saying it didn’t. If you could help me figure out how to stop this happening and how to get my money back I’d be grateful 😞
