PayPal holding funds

I have sold an item on eBay yet it says on my selling section that I am still awaiting payment. Have confirmed that buyer has definitely paid through PayPal. I understand PayPal holds funds for new sellers up to 21 days however it has now been 23 days and nothing has changed. What should I do? Thanks

if it is Ebay hold,call Ebay.

Have now marked as paid and says delivery was recorded. Should my funds be released now?

If its not showing in your paypal account then.........

Go to ebay and click on 'sell' put in anything (as you aren't going to actually list anything) until you get to the main page > scroll down under ''postage'' and where it says payment methods check the email address that is on that page, is there a spelling mistake or old one?

delivery recorded is not delivered to the buyer address,take the tracking number to the carrier site and find the tracking status and then call Ebay

Sounds as if its an email address problem, which is why i have asked her to check on her auction.

Hi yes thank you, it had a random email address I have never seen before. Have now changed it to my own, anything I need to do next? Thank you!

You need to change it next time you list an item for sale and check each time.

However you can't change it on finished listings so....

Secondly .....

can you add that email address to your paypal account and verify it, if so the funds will show up, but if not then...........

You need to contact your buyer(s) and ask them to see what it says in their paypal accounts either:

1. Unclaimed with a cancel option.
2. Unclaimed.
3 Completed.

If its:
Unclaimed with a cancel option.

Ask them to cancel the payment but tell them that it will take a few days to go back to their funding source. Then get them to use the "send money" > Goods/Services option and pay to your email address. Tell them DO NOT use the ebay option or it will direct them to ebay checkout and the same thing will happen. They may not want to do this and so you could then cancel the transaction.

Unclaimed.

If there is no cancel option then the buyer will get their money back automatically 30 days after paying.

Again they may not want to pay you again until they get their money back so you may need to cancel the transaction for them.

Completed.

If its completed then come back for more advice.

Buyer has said that there is no status that he can see. Just that I haven’t accepted it as it’s sent to the wrong email.

If thats what it says on the buyers side, then its pending / unclaimed so ask if there is a cancel option or not.
