PROBLEM LINKING MY ABSA BANK ACCOUNT TO PAYPAL : OTP BEING SMSED TO MY DAUGHTER NOT TO ME
For the past 4 days I have been backwards and forwards to FNB Bank in Tokai, Cape Town. They assisted me in linking me to Paypal via their banking portal. Every time the screen asked for the OTP number, I never received it ... but my daughter did ... even though her Cellphone number has never been filled in on any of the online forms. After this having happened many times, I took a chance and typed in the OTP number which she sent to me. I landed at the PayPal site but My Profile/Account makes no mention of my Absa banking account being linked. I am expecting a payment from the USA on Monday, 9 July 2018 and must get this sorted before then.
I am very concerned as to how my daughter's phone number could have been mixed up with mine. It is definitely not acceptable.
