Not possible to add the credit card which is assigned to an old account cancelled

Hi collegues,

I had an account in Brazil assigned to my currently credit card, then I moved to Spain and asked to Paypal team to cancel the brazilian account in order to be able to créate a new account in Spain as well as assing my credit card. However, when I try to add my credit card I get an error message saying this credit card number is assigned to another account.

Any help on that ?

If its a Brazilian issued card then you may not be able to link it to your Spanish account but if you can then the billing address of the card must match the address on your paypal account.

So is the billing address of the card your Spanish one now?

If its saying its already linked then another possibility is that you have used up the number of times that you can link that card to any paypal account OR customer services did NOT remove it from your old account.
