Negative balance with money taken from bank account

Hello, 

I recently purchased item online and the money was taken from my bank account. Eventually i received the item but my paypal balance has the value of the item as negative balance.

Did i do something wrong?

TL;DR Item was 7.97. money left bank but paypal didnt aknowledge.

Bank payments take several days to complete, the balance should zero out with time.
