Name incorrect when sending money to Friend

So I recently sent money to a friend and on the website version of PayPal it displays his name correctly, But on the mobile version it says someone else’s name and on the confirmation email. My friends email and number is verified so why does it display a different name?

Is there anyone out there that knows why this happens? I am currently experiencing the same issue with my girlfriend showing and entirely different name that neither of us have heard before, but all the contact info is correct. When she signs into her account everything shows correct. The only difference for me is the website also shows the incorrect name. I have past receipts that have her name, but now when I open them to see more info, it shows that it was sent to the odd unknown name. Any ideas?
