My money is on hold

I recieved a payment from a friend earlier today, he sent it to my paypal account, but on my account the money is still not available, it stays on hold. What does this mean and how can I fix it so I can use my money on paypal?

Sounds like the new seller hold, is there a clearance date?

No such thing, the only thing there is is On Hold next to the money that was just transfered, but nothing as for when it is going to leave my account, what can I do?

Depending on how he sent it then its either a 24 hour review OR the new seller hold as per link below.

Alright so I should wait the 21 days and the money wouldn't be on hold anymore? What if it is still on hold after this period?

The maximum of the new seller hold (if it is that) is 21 days.
