My money is on hold...

Is it because my account is new? I have been a member of PayPal for years but recently closed by business account and opened a personal account. Now every time I receive money from a transaction, there is a hold put on it. Why?

Because you are using a new account, paypal see you as a new 'user' and you are subject to the new seller hold as per link below.

Thank you so much for taking the time to reply. I truly appreciate it. 

The only reason I switched to a business account was so I would get a receipt with my shipping labels. Since I closed that account and opened a new personal account, I can't get PPC and now the holds. VERY annoying!

Why didn't you just contact paypal and ask them to downgrade the account from a business account TO a personal account for you?
