I tried to create a PayPal account here in UK but because my maestro card is issued from Italy I could not enter the postcode. Then I created another account by entering Italy as my region. I entered the details but it said that the details are incorrect when they actually weren't. Then it showed the message try again. I entered the details again and a message appeared saying that the card is linked to another account. I checked the UK account but the card was not linked there. Now both of the accounts say that card is linked to another account when in actual it is not linked to any of these. I'm so confused Did someone else hacked my details. I don't think so this happened. Please help me. What should I do.

Paypal is country specific so if you move countries you have to open another paypal account in the country you reside in and add an address / phone number / bank accounts / cards from within that country.

The billing address of the card has to match the shipping address on that paypal account.

You should really withdraw any funds / resolve issues / remove cards and bank accounts before you move countries. If you don't then you may have problems doing so once you have moved and may need to contact customer services for help to resolve things.

There are some exceptions as some bank accounts NOT cards can be linked to specific Paypal accounts in some countries.

I actually created another account for Italy and entered the details of my card from Italy so that I can use it here but it didn't work. So does it mean that in order to access to PayPal here I should have a credit card from UK bank?

You can use another countries paypal account in the UK as paypal is country specific.

So you need to open a UK account with a UK address and a UK phone number and a UK card linked.
