My Bank Account was removed from my PayPal after payment

Hello, recently I ordered some clothes online that I payed for successfully through my PayPal. But earlier today I received an email stating that my bank account would be removed and that I would now have a negative balance on PayPal. My order went through a few days before, and I believe my account was charged. I don't really want to add my bank account back to my PayPal yet or pay out my balance as I don't want to risk paying twice as much as I have already. Does anyone know what is going on or what I can do? Thanks

Transfers from bank accounts are never instant, that is why when you buy something paypal credit the seller upfront for you and paypal take the wait for the funds to transfer to pay them back again, this is so you get your item without delay.

Takes several working days (country dependent) to transfer as Paypal use the slowest (cheapest) transfer option BUT funds normally leave your bank account from a few hours up to a few days later.

If there are no funds in there when they come to take them then they will put your account balance into negative and try again, if that again fails they may use any back up card linked to your paypal account, if that again fails then they will limit your account until you pay them back again.
