Money transfer UK to US

Hi I’m trying to send $4000 to a friend in US. PayPal will only allow me to send $1000 at a time. Highly annoying. Can anyone help? Regards

Account has been verified (bank accounts and cards linked) but can’t see how to increase amount. Any ideas anyone? Thanks in advance Regards
