I'm a new PayPal user but have had money sent and was able to use the 1st time. Then I was sent money again they placed a hold. Now I was sent money by the same person and they put another hold. Why place a hold on money that has been sent by the same person before?

I would like to know if the payment received should supposed to be a payment for item or service or just sent to you by someone you know.

If it is a payment for item or service, it's normal even though it's the same person sending you money because you're a new seller here with PayPal and PayPal want you to have a clean and good selling background preventing disputes moving forward.

If not, you can have the sender send the payment to you under friends and family to avoid getting payments on hold.
