I had to verify my address and id for PayPal , a few days later I got an email saying I can no longer use PayPal as I opened the account before I was 18, I still have money on hold in my account how can I get my money back? As this is my money and has been put on hold however I cannot withdraw to bank due to it being on hold . What can I do please help! Have I lost the money or is it possible to get the funds released.
If you opened an illegal paypal account under 18 then that account is fried and you would never be able to use it again.
However once you were over 18 you could contact customer services and ask to open a new paypal account and request a transfer of funds from the old account to the new one for you.
Best wait till paypal phones are back up and running so an agent can help with the transfer.
