It won't let me link my bank account to PayPal, why?

I have a prepaid debit card called bluebird American Express and this is link to a bank account. The name of the bank is American Express National bank. I have I routing number and a account number but PayPal won't link up. It keeps saying try another time. Does anyone have this problem or know why this is happening. Thank you in advance for your time.

I'm sorry to hear that your bank account is not being accepted by PayPal. It sounds like you're describing a virtual account. PayPal is not compatible with virtual bank accounts. Traditional bank accounts are needed for use with a PayPal account.
