The situation:
1- I am in the UK.
2- I mostly receive payments in US dollars
3- From that money, I take some in Sterling for me and use most of it to make payments in dollars.
4- When somebody sends me money in dollars, Paypal tells me I have received so much in Sterling
5- My account shows I have money in both dollars and Sterling
6- I have told many times, to Paypal, that I want the money, which is paid to me in dollars to be 'kept' in dollars, without exchanging it to Sterling because I am afraid I will lose on the exchange by changing dollars paid in to Sterling and then Sterling to dollars again when paying out. They ignore me. The money usually appears in Sterling.
7- With the current political situation the Pound is changing a lot all the time.
The questions:
A- So is Paypal making money by exchanging the money currencies as well as from their fees and that is why they ignore my requests no to change the currency?
B- Am I losing money with changes?
C- Is there a way around it?
Thanks
