How do you link your card to your new account?

I tried to confirm my card by giving PayPal $1.95 in exchange for the 4-digit code, but I never got the code so I removed the card and closed my account to make a new one to link the card to, but it hasn't worked. It says that the card is linked to a different account but I already closed it. Does someone have the solution to this?

You should have waited a few days for the code to appear as per link.

Also any un-used codes/deposits charged if they remain un-used are refunded back at 30 days, you may not get that now as you have removed the card.

Also you need to leave at least 72 hours between removing and then trying to re-add the card to allow paypals systems to play catch up.
