My cousin in America sent me some money via PAYPAL, I don't know how to get the funds now in my PAYPAL account paid out to my SOUTH AFRICAN bank account?
If that isn't possible with FNB, can the money be paid over into one of my credit cards?
Just a bit confused as I have never done this before.

From paypals help pages...............
How can I transfer funds from my PayPal account to my bank account in South Africa?
Transferring funds from your PayPal account directly to your eligible First National Bank of South Africa (ETF) bank account is easy and secure.
To transfer funds, you must first link your PayPal account to your bank account.
To link your PayPal account to your ETF account, follow these steps:
Log in to your FNB account at www.fnb.co.za.
Click on PayPal Services and then on Link PayPal Profile.
Follow the instructions to link your accounts. You will need to sign in to your PayPal account to confirm that you are the account holder.
After linking your PayPal account to your ETF account, follow these steps to transfer funds to your ETF bank account from your PayPal account:
Log in to your FNB account at www.fnb.co.za.
Click on PayPal Services and then on Withdraw from PayPal.
Enter the transfer amount in USD dollars. (Please check that your PayPal balance is sufficient to make the transfer.)
Follow the instructions to confirm the exchange rate, the Rand amount you will receive, and the Transaction Terms and Conditions.
You will be directed to PayPal to sign in and verify the amount you are transferring to your ETF account.
Then you will be redirected to the FNB site. Your funds will be transferred to your bank account within 3 to 6 business days.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.

Thank you so much, that was very well written out and succinct , I appreciate the effort. I will get the account linked tomorrow to my FNB account.
This will be my first PAYPAL transfer, so excited to see how easy it works.
Thanks again.

Err I didn't write it, as per my opening line it was copied directly from paypals help pages.
I do it like that as some links don't view from an international user.

So what do you do when you dont have a US bank account and your South African bank is not FNB (there are many banks in South Africa -- FNB is just one of them. I bank with Standard Bank and have linked my Standard Bank card to my profile but now I don't know how to proceed so that withdrawals are possible. Surely one cannot be forced to have an account at a bank you don't deal with just to enable Paypal withdrawals when I am already a client of the biggest bank in Africa which is Standard not FNB.

Then you are stuck as those are the only options that Paypal allow.

The 'solution' as far as the COMMUNITY FORUM can help has already been given.
If you want to suggest other options to PAYPAL then I suggest you contact them.
No one from here is going to phone you.
