Goods and services confirmation

I paid for an item via goods and services and the seller insists on confirming the receipt beecause he desperately needs the money. My question is does the money not show up in the sellers account as soon as I pay? Or are they on hold until i confirm? Thanks

It does show up in their account but if their account or payment is subject to PayPal's 21 day hold, their funds are held in a pending balance. In order for you to confirm they have to add tracking number or update the order status by click "Add tracking" link on the payment in their account activity as the option for you to confirm will not be available unless they do that. You can always file a PayPal dispute later should there be a problem with the order.

For a service that has not been rendered, after I click on the confirm receipt; can I still file a dispute with Paypal later if the service is cancelled / seller is a scam?

Check eith support but pretty sure most get the same day other it could take 24 72 hours it depends but I think he only had to tap on the app to know if it was sent paypal give notifacation a payments been made it all so says if its a pending trasaction..i hope you didnt send to much sounds like you were ripped off
