ENTERED DEBIT CARD NUMBER INSTEAD OF ACCOUNT NUMBER AT THE BACK OF THE CARD

Hello,

Hope I will get a valid response for this problem. Let me say that I did a human-error which I linked a bank account to my paypal so that I can withdraw my funds. Unfortunately, I mistakenly inputted the debit card number (16-digit number in front) instead of the Account Number (card back numbers) and saved it. Paypal accepted it so I thought it's the correct details, but when I tried to withdraw my funds from Paypal to my linked ATM card with wrong account number, it processed and says completed but did not go in my bank account (because account number is wrong).
Questions is, how can I get back my money? Do I need to go to my bank provider or Paypal can do anything about this? Or will my money bounce back to my Paypal because the account details is wrong?

Any response would be greatly appreciated!

Thank You!!

Hello @katcampos! How did you contact the Paypal customer care? I've tried to message them on FB but all I got was an automated message. I also tried here on Paypal website, still automated messages. Thank you!

Hi there. Nope. Unfortunately, no funds have been reversed yet. It’s a bummer.

Hey guys, I've already submitted/uploaded the necessary documents (Bank Statement/Debit Card number)  last week (Nov 19th)  since it's already beyond the 14th day per their tracking procedure. It would normally take another 7-10 business days for them to trace it and contact me with the results. However, there's really no confirmation in any form so I'm still wishing they'd get back to me. If it all goes well, I'm expecting the results will be next year since there are holidays otherwise, it'll be another limbo. There's no way of knowing if they're doing something about it except for their generic replies on Facebook messenger. Emails are no good too.

How do we get a hold of a moderator or someone from a certain department which addresses issues like these? Feels like we're left hanging waiting for their mercy to talk to us. This just doesn't feel right. Can't you just give us our money back if it didn't go through in our accounts? I understand, there's a system in place for failed transactions like this but please, your process is a pain the neck! There's really no guarantee that I would be heard but I hope it'll reach them in some other way.

Erratum:

"last week (Nov 19th)"

Hence:

Should be "Dec 19th" not "Nov 19th"

November 29 - Withdrawal transfer

December 19 - 14th business day

December 20 - Uploaded documents to initiate Trace

Hi everyone! No I haven’t received anything back in my Paypal account. I’ve just emailed the customer service email address that I previously replied to. I am hoping they would read it and reply asap. @mykel_08 where did you forward those documents to? I only email them and they reply, well with very vague and no exact answers.
