Do I need to activate a replacement debit card?

I received a replacement paypal debit card (same numbers, expiration, etc..) today because my old one was pretty messed up. It says on the card and included papers to activate it, but when I use the address and such it just redirects me to my account. Do I not actually need to activate it since its the same card?

I actually figured out how to activate it. On the summary page theres a section that shows my debit card. Click that, it will take you to a new screen that says something along the lines of "this card has been re-issued" and if you click that it will let you activate it and give it a new pin or whatever if you want. So problem solved, new one activated and old card destroyed.

Thank you for following up.

PayPal Venmo also offers a debit card with some unique features. There is a waiting list, but it's worth the wait. I'll link details.

I actually just got my Venmo debit card a couple days ago. Something I had been looking forward to.
