I'm paying in USD, so I'm trying to transfer some USD to my Paypal. However, when I transferred USD to my Paypal, Paypal received the amount in HKD instead. Afterwards, I need to manually convert the money from HKD back to USD, and I'm losing money in the process.
From my bank, I converted 1,575.74 HKD to exactly 200USD and sent it, but only 1,563.37 HKD was received, not even in USD.
From the Paypal activities, it lists:
- Paid by: Bank account
- Funding details:
- Payment type: PayPal balance
- Payment method: $1,563.37 HKD - PayPal account
What is going on? How do I stop this behaviour?
