I'm actually trying to transfer money from my PayPal balance into my bank account, but it won’t let me. It keeps on saying there is a problem right now, and to try again later. This problem was showing up yesterday as well, so I called PayPal customer service, and they representative I spoke to asked me some verification questions so that he can lift the security check that was placed on my account, which was stopping me from making the transfer to my bank. I passed the verification test, but it still wouldn’t let me transfer. The representative tried doing something else, and then once again tried the verification test, and I passed, but still wasn’t able to transfer my money to my bank. He then told me to try and make the transfer into my bank the next day which is today, but it still wouldn’t let me. He said if I can’t make the transfer, then to immediately contact customer service again, and he said he’ll leave a note mentioning that I passed the verification test. I made three phone calls, but every time it would transfer me to a representative, it would just hang up on me. So I decided to send an email instead. Please try to solve this problem, I really need to transfer the fund.
i'm having the same problem. I called customer service after 3 days of not being able to transfer, read out the credit card information I have on file to lift my security threshold and they said it didn't match even though I was literally reading it off my paypal ACCOUNT SCREEN and that I would have to call back in 24-48 hours to try and be verified... what a **bleep**ing joke.
Been Trying for 2 weeks now to get my money.......same story exactly.
They sure didn't have any problem getting their money out. They got it before Ebay did. That was 1 month ago.
I'm starting to wonder if this company is all a scam. I finally got a manager and his suggestion was to stop trying to remove the money.
Really? And you guys want to be a Bank? Is your head office in Venezula?
Right now I don't have any confidence I'll get my money out......over 10k.

I've had the same problem (plus another)
First, it took multiple days to link an account, sometimes partially working. Contacted support and kept trying and it seemed to work in spite of support saying it shouldn't work because of a security problem. The error message just keeps saying to try again later, nothing about a security problem.
Second, after I finally added the account, I cant transfer any money out. I've tried multiple times for multiple amounts. Contacted support, they first said there was no problem, then there was, so they would try to resolve it, then they cant resolve it. All whilst saying they cant tell me what the problem is because the algorithm doesn't tell them. So I spoke to a supervisor who said he tried something, cant promise it will work, try again over the next few fays. All the error messages are terrible, just asking to try again...
Totally unacceptable, can't believe this is meant to be the 'future', will minimize my use in the future until they can regain trust (probably never).
And any idea that this is a special approach to increase security is not convincing, other banks manage it and not ever being able to access your money (a strange definition of security) is obviously not an answer!
