Buyer protection

Hi. Bought an item through g&s. He won't send the goods until I've ticked confirm receipt. He has said this doesn't affect my buyer protection if I don't receive the goods..is this correct ?

NO, why would you tick confirm receipt when you have not done so.

Tell him if he does not send your item then  you will open a dispute for non receipt of item and the funds will be held until he can provide trackable proof of delivery or proof you received any digital item or services.
