Bank account auto transferring money recieved into Paypal balance?

Does anybody have any idea why my bank account transfers my money into my paypal account without my confirmation? As far as I know I haven't touched anything on my paypal, and theres nothing about automatic transfers to my paypal balance on my bank app, yet the last month (september) and this month I received a notification saying "You've transferred $$$ from your bank account balance" and the estimated arrival date when I know I did not do that. My money directly deposits every 2 weeks into my bank account and stayed inside my bank account before these last two months, I don't/haven't used paypal balance at all in the past. First time this happened came out of nowhere when I hadn't touched my phone in 2 hours, notification just popped up. I have never had this problem before. Could it be something to do on my bank accounts end? Would unlinking my bank account from paypal solve this issue? I don't want to keep having my money put on hold like this when paypal takes forever to process the transfer when it wasn't my doing to begin with... Thanks for your help!

There used to be a feature that lets you automatically top up your PayPal account balance but it seems that that has been discontinued and all help docs regarding that has been removed such as:

Your best bet is to call up customer service and have them investigate:

Log on, click HELP on top menu, scroll down to click CONTACT US, and then scroll down to click CALL US.
