Is there a global setting to allow my credit card company to handle the currency conversion rather than Paypal?
I made a purchase in another currency and was surprised to see what it was converted to when I saw my credit card transactions a few days later. It was about 4% higher than what was estimated at checkout from the online retailer. I specifically chose to pay with a certain credit card because it doesn't have any conversion fees.
I feel like this option was available previously as I didn't have this issue when I purchased from the same retailer last year using the same card.
