I set up a Pay Pal account 5 years ago and have not used it for about 4 years. I have today signed in for the first time in a long time as I wish tto use my account to sell an item. The website I am listing an item on keeps advising that my paypal details are incorrect and so I have tried to cancel my PayPAl account and set up a new one to start afresh. There are no outstanding balances on my existing PayPal account.
The error message keeps appearing when I try to cancel the account and yet when I successfully set up a new PayPal account I was unable to add my bank account details as they are 'already linked to the maximum number of PayPal accounts'. I was able to successfully close the new account but am still unable to close the old account which appears to be frozen/has some sort of problems and won't let me list items for sale.
