£700 PAYMENT RECIEVED - THEN CANCELLED ONE WEEK LATER !?

Last week i sold my iphone on ebay, it sold as a buy-it-now sale for £700.

In line with ebay requirements, once i received the email from them advising "payment received, post your item now" - i did exactly that.

Today, i receive an email from PayPal telling me there was a problem with the payment, and not to send the item.

The 700 has mysteriously dissapeared from my account, and waiting times for the so called Customer Service are almost 2 hours !!!

Obviously £700 is a lot of money, especially two weeks before Christmas, so i am keen to get this sorted, and the money back with me.

Any help or advice gratefully received.

Thanks

Jim

Click on the words "Help / Contact" at the bottom of paypals pages and use the phone option in the blue band at the top OR very bottom of page dependent on what country you are in. Scroll down past the list of help questions and click on 'Call us' bottom of that page. Log in and get the code.
OR
have you considered contacting Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter?
You can send them a personal message from their facebook or twitter pages.
It's: https://www.facebook.com/PayPalUK and @AskPayPal for Twitter.

Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.

Yep, tried both of the normal methods - left my number for an "automatic callback" when the message system told me 2 HOURS!! waiting time on the phone.  No call back received.

Tried the messaging system, got some guy called Mohammed answering for a bit, doing all the normal call centre stuff, empathising etc, then he just stopped replying, so i guess he gave up.

Ill try facebook and twitter, but they may well be run by the same outsourced call centre, so at the moment not holding out much hope.

Thanks for the advice - its just a shame that PayPal don't invest a little more time in contact and customer support.....
