why is paypal currency converter allways more than Google?

In paypal receipt:

From amount $251.95 AUD

To amount $172.15 USD

 

Google says it is $241.06

google give a like for like currency exchange BUT if you are buying or trading in another currency then you would never get that rate.

For eg, the rate may be one rate but if i am going on holiday and buying a currency to go with then it will be a lot lower.
