Refund issue by a seller, but needed to update the info on the debit card linked to my acct

Hi guys, 

I recently misplaced my debit card linked to my paypal account, and got a new one from the bank yesterday. I forgot to update that info here on my paypal account when I got my new card. 

The problem is that I got a refund issued today to my paypal account (the refund is coming through paypal) so now I'm worried that I wont see that refund since it got issued to my old debit card through paypal.

Should I go ahead and update the old debit card with the new debit card number? Will I still get my money back? 

Please help! I apologise if I sound confusing!
