PayPal has a hold on my money and customer service keeps lying about it.

I recieved a very large partial payment for a service to be completed and the client felt safer using paypal. PayPal immediately put a hold on it, that was partially material money. I cannot work until I get it back. First they told me itd be 48 hours. We did the whole "confirm payment" thing. Then they told me 7 days, both have come and gone. Its obvious to me that when I call they're just reading off a script and aren't actually doing anything but I need my money now. It's been long enough. At this point i need food and I need to be able to work. PayPal themselves have been awful to deal with. I've done everything theyve told me and nothing happens, they're just lying.
