I sold a pair of very expensive shoes and my money is on hold. The person received the packaging but isn’t responding and I’m worried I won’t get my money. I provided tracking info aswell, can someone help please?

Big scam , not happy whatsoever!!!!! My son trusted paypal. sent trainers to buyer. whom agreed 1200 as they were limited edition. He received the trainers via Ups in Croydon! Third party sent money and then asked for money back! My son only 17 and being raised correctly sent the money back as he naively assumed this 3rd person was also scammed ! I believe it was a set up . Won't use PayPal in future. the support is poor as is the service . I've a good mind to report this to the police . But I'm aware that's pointless

Are the funds showing in your paypal account as pending or not showing at all?
