Good morning. I am new to PP. I did a service for someone and the have paid Paypal. The money is on hold. There are no goods/shipping etc involved. It says my money is on hold on my activity page and that I have 'successfully updated my order and I will get the money within 7 days of 'verification'. What needs to be verified please? I have done a service, got paid so I don't understand the 'verification. Thank you very much for your help. I am new on here.

Can't help you with verification as you have not said what country you are in but as to your service hold, try this....
With payments received for tangible goods Paypal would request valid tracking information confirming the funds have been delivered to the buyer. As Paypal can validate the tracking information online, once it is delivered they can release the funds. As you have received the funds for a service no tracking number is applicable and they would be unable to release these funds any sooner than the 21 days.
The buyer may have the option on their account to mark the transaction as delivery/satisfied. If the buyer confirms this by clicking on the "Confirm Receipt" button, the funds may be released to you sooner. This is not always guaranteed.
Advice is voluntary.
