Help!! First time selling - payment on hold.

I sold my laptop today, used PayPal to receive the payment. This is the first time I'm tried to sell something. I hand delivered my laptop to the buyer and saw them make a transfer. Now my PayPal account says money received but on hold. I added shipping details, said it's not trackable. The buyer didn't get any request to confirm that they have received the laptop. I asked to check their activity list, there was no way to update it. How do I let PayPal know I've handed the item to the buyer? Would there be any issues with my payment? Please help!

You have no seller protection for items collected or personally delivered but that is only if the buyer opens a dispute for non receipt of item which is unlikely?

The new seller hold is different and the buyer has not idea that it is on hold as the hold is between you and paypal as per link below.

With payments received for tangible goods Paypal would request valid tracking information confirming the item has been delivered to the buyer. As they can validate the tracking information online, once it is delivered they can release the funds. IF you have received the funds for a service / virtual or digital sale OR no tracking number is applicable Paypal would be unable to release the funds any sooner than 21 days.

HOWEVER if you mark the transaction as processed then the buyer may have the option on their account to mark the transaction as delivery/satisfied. If the buyer confirms this by clicking on the "Confirm Receipt" button, the funds may be released to you sooner ie 7 days after the buyer verifies receipt. This is not always available or guaranteed.
If not then sadly its 21 days.
