Any currency exchange losses transferring funds from local bank to Paypal ?

hi,
i'm from Singapore and recently i ordered items from USA and paid by debit card and my bank charged me over 2% for currency exchange so i'm thinking of adding funds from my Singapore bank account to my Paypal account (do i suffer any currency exchange losses ?) to pay for my future orders...........i think my Paypal account is in SingDollar..........
