Removed the 21 day hold, could not verify my phone number, I fixed it myself

No one at PayPal could help me. My money was on a 21 day hold and I needed to verify my number and I couldn't. It could call my number.


It couldn't send me a phone call confirmation.

 

My mobile was a land line at some point and that could have been the problem. So I switch it to home instead of mobile but that didn't work... So I switched it back to mobile and it sent me a text confirmation and from that point on, my funds were available. I am not sure what part of this was the thing that made it work but that's what I did.

 

I went to: Setting (the Gear icon on the right)
Phone: clicked Edit next to my number
Switched Mobile to Home (it didn't work after added last 4 of my social security)
Switched back to Mobile, they sent me a text with some numbers, I put them in, fund available (It's working)

 

The thing that kills me is a just got off the phone with 2 layers of escalation and the last specialist talked to told me the 21 day hold on my money was the way the system works and it had nothing to do with my phone... I had a feeling they were wrong and I was right.
