I have just had a negative experience with a seller. One of the items that I have ordered was wrong. I contacted the seller and they said they can't refund me or exchange the item (I have photos of the item and the receipt). I opened the dispute and Paypal's response was: we are unable to help you, please contact the seller.
Paying with Paypal is obviously completely useless since apparently they don't offer any protection for the buyer. You should pay directly and not lose money on service that doesn't offer you help and protection when you need it.
