I was recently the victim of account fraud, as someone made an unauthorised transaction on my account. I received an email saying "You've activated One Touch. From now on you won't be asked for your password, PIN, or security key when making PayPal purchases from this device: XXXXX' (I have put the XXX's rather than a phone model).
What I don't understand, is why upon the *removal* of all security for account purchases on a specific device, the email does not contain an "is this you?" link. Meanwhile, upon me later setting up a security key to make my account *more* secure, there is a message saying 'If you didn't activate your mobile phone, please contact right away'.
I may have missed something in the one touch email - if I have, please tell me. But, as it is, I do not understand why there is more security to secure your account than to make it less secure.
