"Sorry, something went wrong. Please try again." when setting up 2FA

Hi folks I"m getting the "Sorry, something went wrong. Please try again." when I try to select authenticator app as my method of 2FA, as well I am not able to change my password, with all values filled in (old pass and new pass), clicking the button shows an animation but nothing happens
