question about closing a venmo account

Hello community,

I can no longer access my venmo account because I got a new phone and can not get a ID push verification on the number that my account was associated with.

Since paypal owns vemo, could paypal close my venmo account? or help me update my phone number so I can access my venmo account?

They asked me to take a picture of my drivers license. I don't feel comfortable getting that attachment in my email.

I really wish I wouldn't have opened this account - big mistake tying a fiscal account to a ephemeral phone number.
