how can I change the personnel account to a business account? thanks

Hi, 

We have limited Customer Service on the phone during this time. We are almost done realigning our Customer Service that can answer your calls and queries. For the meantime, please maximize our Chat Support on the Contact Us option of any PayPal Page. 

 Click on the words "Help / Contact" at the bottom of paypals pages and use the phone option in the blue band at the top OR very bottom of page dependent on what country you are in. Scroll down past the list of help questions and click on 'Call us' bottom of that page. Log in and get the code.

have you considered contacting Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter?
You can send them a personal message from their facebook or twitter pages.

Try the steps listed. 

To change your Personal account into a Business account:

1. Go to your  Settings.
2. Click Upgrade to a Business account.
3. Enter your business information and click Agree and Continue.

Kindly follow the below steps to upgrade your account from Personal to Business.

1. Go to your Settings.
2. Click Upgrade to a Business account.
3. Enter your business information and click Agree and Continue.

Otherwise, please contact Customer Service. To get there, click help / contact bottom left of Paypal pages for options available for your country.

Did any of you see that the poster is in SRI LANKA where the option to RECEIVE paypal payments is not available?

The option to 'receive' paypal payments is sadly not available in Sri Lanka.
You can only 'send' payments for purchases.
