help removing linked bank account

Hi There

I have linked a new bank account in my profile, but attempts to remove the old one have been futile.

Paypal customer service hasn't even replied to 3 messages sent to them requesting help.

Can anyone help?

Have you made your new bank account your new Primary Bank account first before removing the old one? Click "edit" or "Update" link next to the new bank account to make it primary.

thanks yes, but still can't remove the old one. their site seems inoperable today, will try again later

Have you a subscription linked to that bank account?

Click on the profile tab (icon next to log out) > Click on payments third option along on the thick blue band top of page > "manage pre-approved payments''.

have you used that account recently?

you cannot remove it until Paypal feels safe there will be no reversal etc ,say 180 days/
