depop pending payment HELP!

i paid for an item without logging into paypal, as a guest through paypal. the seller says the payment is still pending and i need to confirm i received the item through paypal. when i go to my email and find the one about that item, i click “activate paypal” but the link just sends me to the “change paypal password” page. the problem is, i already have a paypal account under my email, but i sort of paid as a guest because paypal wasn’t working at the time when i paid for my item, now the seller is waiting for me to confirm the item was received, but i cant! how do i make sure she gets her money?

You should never confirm receipt of an item BEFORE you have actually received it and the seller should not be asking you.

 

If its marked as completed in your Paypal account then you have paid. The fact its pending on the SELLERS end is between them and paypal as they are new sellers.
Funds are held for 21 days BUT released more quickly if they provide a tracking number (delivery + 1 day).

Even if the funds were withdrawn to their bank account they would still have to refund if they lost a dispute. The hold is to protect PAYPAL from new sellers that don't refund so Paypal has to and then has the hassle of getting reimbursed from the seller.
Tell him that if he refuses to send then you would have to file a dispute for 'non receipt of item' and that would impact on his paypal account as he is a new seller and the time the 'new seller hold' lasts may be extended OR he may not be allowed to sell at all.


Advice is voluntary.
