Trying to resolve something via email or Paypal's messaging system is tiresome in the extreme. You really would be best biting the bullet and telephoning them. When the automated message options start playing do NOT give the answer they want. Force the system to error by saying "I want to speak to customer service" or whatever repeatedly. Eventually, you will be transferred to a human when you can then explain your problem.
