change primary email address with a new one

I need to change the primary email address on my account.

I have followed the Paypal instructions and added the new one

I am however unable to delete the old one so making the new one the primary and only email address on my settings

This has worked for me.  

To update an email address, you must have at least two email addresses on file.
Login to your account.
* Click on the Gear icon.
* Click on the "+" in the Email box.
* Enter your new email address.
* Click "Add Email"

* You will need to "confirm" the new email - once you've done that, you can make it the Primary and delete the old email.

Thank you for getting back to me so quickly. I have already added my new email and confirmed it. 

I do not know how to make my new email my primary one.

There should be an option there to select the primary especially if you are seeing two addresses there now.   If not, you may want to contact customer service.  Unfortunately as this is a public community, there's no way to see what you're actually seeing.

Hi!! Thank you for this post. I added the new email & confirmed it. Then, I went to edit it again & it asked if I wanted to make it primary? Click the box & delete your old address.
