i had previously linked my debit card to a paypal account (my only one asides from this), but it now says it doesn't exist when i try to log in. i created this new one today to link to my ebay account after discovering this, but have been unable to link my debit card to it, as it is already connected to an account, however, i have no others, and the only one it could be linked to is the one that reportedly doesn't exist.
