I joined Paypal in 2009 when I am working in China, but I am a Malaysian. I dont know why Paypal stated my nationality to be Chinese, instead of Malaysian.
I have money inside my paypal account where i need to transfer it out.
How do I change from Chinese to Malaysian?
Thanks

Most likely because PayPal accounts are country specific and going by your IP address and web beacons at the time it was based in China so the China PayPal sign up page might have popped up instead.
Now, you must open a Malaysian PayPal account in order to enter Malaysian based account info:

You may close the China account if you no longer need it or live in China; here's the checklist for closing accounts:
- Resolve any open disputes or account limitations.
- Zero out the balance.
- Cancel any active automatic payments.
- Remove financial info (bank accounts, cards).
- Go to Settings (cog icon).
- Click Close Account under Account Options section.
Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂
